Break me off a piece ......
Jell'o Everyone!!!!
This post will probably be a short one. This past weekend was labor day weekend. Which really means nothing for a nursing student!! I still had class tuesday right after. Still had an assignment due Sunday night and still had 6 chapters to read. Keep in mind all of that was for one class because my Monday class was a holiday (like I said Labor day). Our close friends were going to Destin, Florida and we were staying home. I was just going to study and do what I normally do. Until Thursday they contacted us and said .... "we've got a spot for u both JUST COME" ...... Just like that we packed our bags and we were on our way the next day. Road trippin to the beach! We needed a break.
Ladies and Gents here's some news for you ..... WE ALL NEED A MENTAL BREAK! It's okay to take a break, regroup & recoop. I managed to get majority of my reading in, submitted my assignment 4 minutes before it was due, and catch a sun burn!! Balance is key. Do what you got to do without dropping the ball. I knew that we would come back late monday night and made sure I left everything ready (well besides ironing my uniform, hubby ironed that while I was in the shower because HE'S AWESOME). Got home, jumped in the shower, got in some Z's, woke up bright and early, refreshed for my exam. Didn't make the A I normally shoot for but made a B. With the beach time I got, I was very pleased with that.
Listen, nursing school is tough and it can be draining but you must know how to balance life. My husband is amazing! He's sacrificing so much to make my dreams come true. He's so understanding but also keep that in mind. Take a wkend and do something different. A change of scenery, couples massage (or just a massage if you're single), eat a tub of ice cream :) ..... something that will help maintain your sanity!!! Now back to reality. LET'S KICK SOME BUTT!!!!!
P.S. I received the nurse badge reel and she is super cute. Below is a picture of it and a few beach pics.
